Update on bookmark archiving

I’m reaching the point where I’ve picked up some momentum on the project where I have been able to clear about 20-50 bookmarks a day. I am at about 750 bookmarks remaining so this is probably within the realm of about three weeks.

My thinking on the subject evolved to the point where I want to archive the bookmark at the time of saving. I also created a script singlefile-to-pinboard-tid.py to automatically create the tiddler entry. But sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the project.

Why save all of these bookmarks? It comes back to my personal wikis and a desire to have a durable record of a certain idea. It’s a long tail activity. There will be no dramatic end at its conclusion other than my own personal satisfaction. I have a hard time explaining the purpose for all this to anyone else, even to myself. I also feel a gnawing anxiety, as if I cannot write anything new until I know most of my references are secure.
